We are happy to announce that more than 200,000 specimens from the Sapienza Herbarium Museum have already been digitized at the botanical section of the Museum of Natural History of the University of Florence, as part of the National Biodiversity Future Center's (NBFC)massive digitization project of Italian herbaria.

The scanned material, belonging to the Herbarium Generale Fanerogame, Herbarium Montelucci, Herbarium Bazzichelli Generale and Herbarium Romanum Fanerogame collections, has already begun its return journey to Rome, where it will be placed in its original cabinets.
