On Tuesday, April 8, the last collections selected for the massive digitization project of the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC) left for Florence. This relates to specimens from the Herbarium Anzalone, namely those from the Orto dei Semplici and Abruzzo National Park sub-collections.
Over the last few months, the transfer of these invaluable herbarium materials involved a total of 24 collections and sub-collections, amounting to nearly 4,000 folders.
While the specimens are being rapidly digitized in Florence, our team here at the Sapienza Herbarium Museum is working to re-house the folders that has already been returned.
