Three invaluable collaborators are returning to the Sapienza Herbarium Museum, ready to contribute with enthusiasm to the preservation and enhancement of its botanical heritage!
Chiara, Nikole, and Simona recently began a new collaborative scholarship sat the Herbarium. Having already taken part in the Museum’s activities last year, they chose to continue their journey, driven by a strong passion for the care and conservation of botanical collections.
Over the coming months, they will be primarily involved in the curation, mounting, and reorganization of the Lattanzi Herbarium, a collection of major scientific importance that has only been partially arranged in previous years. Their contribution will play a key role in completing this important work and paving the way for the full digitalization of the collection in the future. Part of the material that has already been rearranged has been included in the NBFC digitization project, carried out in collaboration with the Universities of Padua and Florence.
Alongside these activities, the fellows will also have the opportunity to contribute to several other areas of the Herbarium’s work, including cataloguing, restoration, science communication initiatives, and digitization processes.
